Homemade Crockpot Applesauce

I can't  believe its been almost a year since I was freaking out and running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to finish the applebutter favors for my wedding. So this Fall everyone has been asking when I plan to do more applebutter. Well my mom was given to VERY large boxes of apples and I decide to try and make applesauce first. I looked online and came up with a couple of different ones but couldn't find exactly what I wanted...So being the country girl I am I decided to fly by the seat of my pants and just go for it! Heres what I did:

I peeled, cored, and chopped approx 24 small to medium apples (green and red) and threw them into my crockpot.
Then I added 1 1/2 cups of water, 2 TBSP of cinnamon, 1/4 TSP ground cloves, 1 cup of sugar, and a 1/2 TBSP of vanilla extract.

I put the crockpot on low and I'm thinking to let it go the rest of the afternoon through tomorrow put I will continue to check on it and stir every so often (2-3 hours). Ill update once I have an exact time frame.
