Homemade Crockpot Applesauce

I can't  believe its been almost a year since I was freaking out and running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to finish the applebutter favors for my wedding. So this Fall everyone has been asking when I plan to do more applebutter. Well my mom was given to VERY large boxes of apples and I decide to try and make applesauce first. I looked online and came up with a couple of different ones but couldn't find exactly what I wanted...So being the country girl I am I decided to fly by the seat of my pants and just go for it! Heres what I did:

I peeled, cored, and chopped approx 24 small to medium apples (green and red) and threw them into my crockpot.
Then I added 1 1/2 cups of water, 2 TBSP of cinnamon, 1/4 TSP ground cloves, 1 cup of sugar, and a 1/2 TBSP of vanilla extract.

I put the crockpot on low and I'm thinking to let it go the rest of the afternoon through tomorrow put I will continue to check on it and stir every so often (2-3 hours). Ill update once I have an exact time frame.

Marbled Fingernails

I had a little time last night to finally paint my nails so I marbled my nails. I original did this before Christmas with red and white but this time I wanted to do something a little different. The school where I work is raising awareness for Relay for Life so I decided to paint them white and teal for cervical cancer. Super easy and I even applied this to glass ornaments for Christmas gifts. Sorry if the pictures are a little fuzzy.

My new addiction...s

I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to post for my first post so I figured why not post something about my new found addiction or addictions plural... because one spiraled into two and then three and so on and so on. Anyways I have found some blogs through pinterest on teaching and pretty much anything to do with a Preschool or Kindergarten classroom.  Of course I discovered Teachers pay Teachers as well as the following blogs: Kindergarten Kindergarten, Chalk Talk: A Kindergarten Blog, Second Story Window, Lawteedah, and 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals 1. They have so many cute ideas for centers, holiday themes, and lots more!! I can't stop looking through them for different ideas. And yes I am only a teaching assistant. I guess stocking up for the long, distant day I finally finish school and have my own classroom! Well I hope you find something you like. Enjoy!!
